**Job Title: Auditor**
**Reports To:** Treasurer
**Overview:**
The Auditor will support the Treasurer in ensuring the financial integrity of the organization by conducting thorough audits of financial records, evaluating financial systems, and providing insights to enhance fiscal accountability.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Conduct regular audits of financial statements and accounting records.
– Review internal controls and financial processes to identify areas for improvement.
– Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
– Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to the Treasurer and board of directors.
– Collaborate with the Treasurer to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
– Assist in preparing for external audits and respond to auditor inquiries.
– Provide training and support to staff on financial practices and compliance.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– Proven experience in auditing, accounting, or financial management, preferably in a non-profit environment.
– Knowledge of GAAP and non-profit financial regulations.
– Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
– Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification.
– Familiarity with youth development programs and community services.
This role is volunteer based and no experience is required.
