Vivian Mitsuno and her family have been with Oceanside Pop Warner for the last 4 years. The 2017 season will her 5th year with the league and also her 2nd year on the Oceanside Pop Warner board. Vivian has served various roles with OPW, to include Team Mom, volunteering as needed for various areas, and always willing to lend a helping hand.
For 2017, Vivian will be a part of redeveloping and restructuring Oceanside Pop Warner to bring it back to the positive level of respect, integrity, and class. She feels that becoming a Board Member is the first step in that positive direction. And really, what a better way to start than from feeding our community through snack bar opportunities. Vivian wants to create a welcoming environment with a variety of choices for patrons to come and enjoy their time while attending an Oceanside Pop Warner game.
Our League has the opportunity not just to feed people within our community, but to also generate funds to help alleviate financial hardships on parents. The more funds we generate, the more stability we can have, and the better future we can give to our players. Vivian want these funds to go directly into obtaining better or new gear items, purchasing new equipment, and/or field rentals. Our players and cheerleaders deserve the best and the Snack Bar Coordinator is greatly apart of generating the finances to achieve the best.
Vivian is dedicated to help make a difference in our League to turn around the image we have within our community. She will continue to advocate for the parents and do what is in the best interest of the players. At the end of the day, being on the Board isn’t just about the title we are elected to; it’s about having the heart to serve for the players, parents, and representing our community!
