Ben has been a part of the Oceanside Pop Warner family for many years. The 2017 season will be his fifth year with the league, third year as a board member, and first year as an executive board member. Ben looks forward to his time as the Player Agent as he wants to continue the forward momentum the OPW league is slowly achieving. He wants to continue to be a part of redeveloping and restructuring Oceanside Pop Warner and strive to maintain the positive level of respect, integrity, and class.
Ben has served various roles within the league to include Business Manager and helping pain the fields before games. His volunteer experience with OPW includes serving as a Team Business Manager for 2 seasons, serving as the OPW Little Scholars Representative for 2 season, and being appointed as the OPW Business Manager Representative for 1 season. Ben has volunteered to help in various areas and is always willing to lend a helping hand.
Ben’s main goal as an Executive Board Player Agent would be to distribute the players more evenly and fairly onto teams, improve our registration format and dates, along with creating a better communication system between the player, parent, and League. Being on the Oceanside Pop Warner Board for the last 2 years has definitely prepared him for this opportunity. He is more than willing to take on all the necessary tasks, challenges, and work alongside other Executive Board members to continue to make OPW a successful league.
Those who know Ben in the League knows that he doesn’t sit around and do nothing. Ben will continue to advocate for the parents and do what is in the best interest of the players. At the end of the day, being on the Board isn’t just about the title we are elected to; it’s about having the heart to serve for the players, parents, and representing our community!
